This base module incorporates both the event history and Machine Learning-based proprietary algorithm which forms the basis of the software engine.  It analyzes the event-based trends and human resource behaviors during events to predict the number and general location of outages during an impending weather event.

Post Event Analytics

This module uses the Real-time crew optimization to directly contact and dispatch the crews in real-time with minimal involvement of dispatchers. The number of dispatchers needed is reduces by 60-80% during an event.   

Restoration Performance Simulation

Crew Pre-Staging

The module determines optimal crew pre-staging (pre-placement) and provides regional allocations based on predicted outages. It determines the correct mix of crew types such as Construction Crews both Overhead and Underground, Vegetation Crews, Damage Assessment, Wire watchers, etc. Additionally, the tool can help determine when mutual assistance is likely needed.

Real-time Crew Optimization

The module provides Optimization of real-time crew dispatch and acts as a Resiliency Enhancement Co-Operator to dispatchers during event restoration. The traditional manual dispatch process typically sends crews to next highest customer outage ticket, which may not be optimal and could instead be inefficient. This module takes into consideration all the analytical factors which lead to the most efficient restoration for the given crews that are activated and informs outage locations to dispatch crews using the optimal approach in real-time.

The module provides event analytics to assess restoration effectiveness and provides scenario options such as redistributing crews into different regions or adding additional crews to simulate and evaluate restoration effectiveness in terms of time and cost for future resource planning and learning. A mixture of different crew types and regional allocations provides comparative analytics for resilience improvements.
